Painting contest with cash prizes

Hi folks, I just wanted to let folks know that Bristol Concord Gaming Convention is holding a painting contest with cash prizes at the event at the end of February. As I am in Vanguard, and also helping to organise the damn thing, it would be great to see someone from vanguard take home the glory (a...

Re: Anyone still use the forum?

I have been in London the last year (hence being quiet and not playing) but I do still browse the forum and am mainly following Necromunda and have just noticed 9th as well.

Re: Star Wars RPG

It is looking like I am going to be off to London on short notice tonight, so won't be able to make it this week. I should be around for next week onwards. Apologies for the late notice, I only just found out.

Re: Warmahordes Escalation League

Yeah, the 14 day thing is if you receive goods, though it's hard for them to deny it before you receive them in that case. Glad you folks got your stuff sorted though. I am taking my "buy local" initiative a step further and buying assassins off Liam...

Re: Warmahordes Escalation League

Gunna demand my money back, think I am within my rights? You are within your rights, to receive the goods, change your mind and send them back unopened within 14 days if you like due to distance selling regulations. It sucks for a LGS to have stuff delivered for an order that is then stuck with the...

I'll prob still be using dwarfs or skaven.

Re: 40k Designers' Considerations on the Knights

I also think GW need to reassess the force org chart, there is too much bolt on crap now days tbh. This, very much this. I think I may take the approach of "stuff from a vanilla off the shelf codex only, unless by prior arrangement. Data-slates, sub-codexes,, army themes, whatever, if it is no...

Hi toxicmog, I can offer you a slow pace gain, I am brushing the rust off myself. I have a rulebook/templates stuff, and am happy to spend an afternoon on one. April weekends are a bit tricky, but could maybe do the 18th or 21st over the Easter Bank Holiday?

Re: Shadow Run -late 2014

Always room for an inexperienced player. The Shadow Run systems have generally been fairly simple. I am refreshing myself on 4th ed and eyeing up 5th as it is just out. From the samples though, I see little/no difference between 4th and 5th. I'll put up a link to the 5th summary this evening, it cov...

Re: Purchasing advice!

I went across to Cardiff to check out Firestorm a couple of weeks ago, does that count as local atm? (It will cost you petrol and bridge money.)

They do online too, so best of both worlds? Local and lazy. Otherwise Area 51 it is.

Tempestus Scions

Just wondering what people thought of these minis? I don't like their daft truck thing, but I think they make decent generic storm troopers for use in either 40K or anything that needs slightly futuristing storm trooper/paramilitary police type models.

Re: Warmahordes Escalation League

Oh that is a shame. Not just the venue but the shop too. Are there any other GW independent retailers in Bristol anymore? I shall miss that shop! There are a few but none with any great selection. Antix and Area 51 as mentioned, also Hobby Craft has a few bits, but they tend to buy what's unpopular...

Re: Rumours - Domain of The Ginger Prince

Yeah, I don't see them bunching the books together. I see the logic. Why sell a small amount of your fan base a book every 10 years (going by Dwarf Army book release schedule...) when you could sell everyone a book once a year? The problem is, that would either be a pretty small S*** book, with no b...
