Re: Easterfront 2018 Early War Points

They will certainly be a valid entry, and, similarly to some of the special missions listed above, it would be morally wrong of me not to allow you to play a glider landing mission if you did bring them Genius - great call! Whilst I’m on a roll (excuse obvious wargaming pun), if I were to use my Ea...

Re: Easterfront 2018 Early War Points

Always get nervous when I hear ‘Infantry’..... (just have visions of drawn games throughout the day as both side dig in and shell each other)

That said, it will give me an excuse to dig out my Luftlandesturm glider borne Fallschirmjaeger (assuming they will be a valid entry of course)

2018 Roll Call

So.... with Alex fully engaged with WWII (all periods) and events (Easterfront, Tanksgiving, D-Day etc, etc), I’ve volunteered to help out with Team Yankee (not an ‘exclusive’ role I may add, more that happy for others to join in). To get a feel for TY player numbers (and Army sizes) with a view to ...

Re: 2018: Rumour / Lies?

There’ll be a Gulf War version of TY, with all the toys. Once they’re released then nothing to stop anyone from painting them green and playing them in Europe. Hopefully they’ll take the opportunity to fix V4 when they align with TY, rather than another cludge A Gulf War version would be awesome! (...

2018: Rumour / Lies?

Allegedly 2018 will bring us: - New / Updated V4 Aligned Team Yankee rule book (possibly the big Summer / June release) - New NATO Army book (French, Dutch, Canadians etc) and I assume a smattering of new models to coincide with release - New / Updated British Army book .....No ‘other’ WARPAC nation...

Re: Easterfront 2018 Early War Points

If nothing else I can always play EW US and stay at home :) “Ah, the naivety of youth” (as Stu is fond of telling me) US can play Early War (you don’t get out of it that easily); army lists are in Gung-Ho (at 500pts per Sherman, you don’t need many models either  ). Personally, I’ve always bee...

Jaguars in the Playoff’s

.....it’s been a while (2007 in fact), but with an emphatic win over the Texans (45 -7), the Jags have clinched a play-off berth with a half decent 10 - 4 record (to date) The icing on the cake would be a thrashing of the Patriots in the AFC championship game (a repeat of pre season  ) and ...

Re: Easterfront 2018 Early War Points

Only brings me back into contention with a fairly large purchase of models I didn't plan to, tbh :( A lot of which is no doubt old stock right now and a bugger to get hold of given BF's current MF focus Stating the obvious I’m sure, but BF make a decent range of plastics now that you can field in e...

Re: Stripes: Intel / Releases

I’ll no doubt get Hueys too Please don’t - it’s not Vietnam (no problem with Seahawks, but when Revell make very good 1/100 Blackhawks, there’s simply no need for Hueys in Mid 80’s Europe <BF simple took the easy option unfortunately>). Not sure if you’ve seen them but I’ve painted up a couple of t...

Well, in keeping with ‘let’s make America great again’, the first of my Early War Plastic Soldier Company M3 (Honey) Stuart’s arrived today :-) As there’s no Early War American’s (and even I’m not brave enough to field a US Marines Sherman Tank Company from ‘Gung-Ho’....at circa 500pts per Tank!), t...

Re: FOW: 2018 - player / community plans....

Has anyone else noticed that since Cai got sucked into the murky world of X-Wing, we’ve not actually seen many / any US Armies at our recent events? Ok, BF have over-nerfed US Armour to a degree, but I may look to get my US stuff back on the board during ‘18 (sure, it’s nowhere near as good as it w...

Easterfront 2018 Early War Points

With the view / excitement surrounding a foray into Early War by our Flames community in 2018 and the dialogue regarding points, an opportunity for people to vote. BF Tournament Standard for Early War events is 1250pts which may mean people don’t have to buy / invest too much (time/money) to get inv...

ah, Netlisting.... Not something I’ve seen in our community (Most people’s Late War lists / preferences are so specific, I’m not sure the majority could netlist even if they wanted to.....). Something ‘new’ like Early War could result in people searching for a list and simply building it I guess - c...

Re: Tanksgiving 2017

So I reached out to ‘The Oracle’ and 1550 early is seen as giving balanced play (especially with Armour / Tank Companies); in true BF tradition, above 1550pts and Soviet Barbarossa Armoured list rule supreme (Tank Spam) and Brits can field an unhealthy number of Infantry Tanks (Matilda / Valentine c...

Tanksgiving 2017: surprised at how many 8-1 games there were? Do people have any idea at this stage what their FoW plans are for 2018 yet? I think my V3 DAK are a...
