Who should I send my essay too? Also, can I have 10,000 words?

Re: Getting started with 30k

Thanks Dan. I am definitely after Space Wolves (I want that Primarch!) so if their book is due out later this year I will start painting some grey chaps with bolters whilst I await the full release. Thanks for the tips :)

Getting started with 30k

Hello folks, So I've seen the new Leman Russ model and am now quite keen on a fledgling 30k army. I was wondering how does one get started with the Horus Heresy? There are so many books I'm not sure where to begin. Do I also need the standard 40k rules to play or are they re-printed in the FW books?...

There's no real chance of keying it. I like your other suggestion through. Will order some masking fluid.

HELP: Painting on top of chrome

Hello all, I need some advice. I've sprayed a couple of Stormcast Eternals with a chrome effect spray from B&Q. They look lovely. Super shiny. However, I can't then get any other paint to stick to the chrome. Imperial primer and Vallejo grey primer just slides off and pools. It's like trying to ...

Re: Age of Sigmar Rumours

Hear hear to that. I'm certainly getting the AOS bug. I've just finished rebasing my entire Chaos army. I love you you can just plonk some models on the table-top, roll some dice and tell a story without hours of rule reading and list building (and the time I save can go to endeavouring to comprehen...

Re: Age of Sigmar Rumours

Does anyone know if this is pure co-op yet? I saw something on BOLS suggesting it is for 2-4 players. Pure co-op was the best thing about the original in my humble opinion.

Forge World Airbrush Paints

Hello folks, Does anyone know what the Forge World Clear Airbrush paints are for? What's special about the "clear" bit. I ask because I quite like GW's four glazes but would love to find some other colours (like purples, pinks and browns) to use on skin tones and I was wondering whether th...

That is all very impressive work but Archaon and Glotkin are really stunning. I actually prefer the Glotkin paint job to the Eavy metal one.

Hi Tom, I'd like to put my name in the hat of reserves for this if you're keen. Desk Lamp

Hello folks,

So as the winter nights have closed in and the old eyes aren't what they used to be I have taken to using a camping headlamp to paint by. Not ideal. Can anyone recommend a really brilliant desk lamp?

Thanks

Re: Air Brush Painting Advice Please

I agree with all of the above and would add that it is definitely worth investing in some cleaning fluid, a cleaning pot and a cleaning kit (brushes and a scraper). A good clean can make an old airbrush feel like new.

There is also this coming out next month: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dragon-Rampant-Fantasy-Wargaming-Wargames/dp/1472815718/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447838346&sr=8-1&keywords=dragon+rampant By all accounts it has an interesting unit activation mechanic based on a pass or fail roll. It might...

Re: looking for a game

Curiously enough I just received a copy of Rackham's RPG Cadwallon in the post. It's a weighty tome and I'm looking forward to getting into it. I had bought it just for reference and inspiration but who knows, if it's any good, maybe we could get something going.

Re: Tuesday AoS?

I had a blast. I haven't played Warhammer for years but it was easy to pick up and fast. There is surprising depth to the combat phase and movement and positioning is still important. Best of all though is that it feels quite fluffy. My favourite moment was when Belakor regenerated wounds from feedi...

I noticed the Slann have a spell which buffs celestial daemons. No idea what a celestial daemon is though so maybe the Seraphon will have those as a new addition.

Sadly this week is a write-off but I'm free most evenings next week. Tuesday 28th or Wednesday 29th would probably be best for me.

I purchased and read through the new hardback book this weekend and am now very keen to try out some of the scenarios.
