Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

Agreed - let's scrub for this weekend and re-plan. Fingers crossed for the MOT; hope you both pass and that there's no massively expensive rectification required. I don't have a good feel for how long a bigger game of BFG will take, but are we still assuming that we probably want a weekend day, rat...

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

Nuts. Don't think I can make this Sunday now- trains from Newport badly affected by engineering works, and my car (by my estimate) 50/50 to pass its MOT on the Saturday (which means I potentially won't have a car to drive across). Sorry chaps

Yes, big battle finale would be great. Apologies, I've been distracted by the ever present lure of Blood Bowl and more recently, Epic Armageddon!

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

My orks are flooting around somewhere, probably fighting themselves. If anyone wants to give them something to try and shoot at let me know. Probably next week as well now. Stu, do you fancy contesting the agri-world I'm attacking? :D Sure. I think it'll have to be next week at least, possibly even...

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

My Chaos ships (what's left of them...) are going to be raiding the agri-world XC-584/A, in the hope of picking up a few farmers to sacrifice to the Chaos gods to try and reverse the tides of war. Not available until next week, unfortunately

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

The Bastion system is relatively Sol-like in its composition. Rocky inner planets give way to two marginally-habitable planets, with two gas giants keeping lonely watch significantly further out. The former of the two habitable worlds, formally Bastion III, is commonly simply known as Bastion, or B...

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

Sunday at 12 (or shortly after) would be ideal if that works :) Sunday from noon works great - see you then. So that I can be sure to bring the right ships, do you have a preference for Raid vs Battle and a points level? My personal preference would be a Battle, so that I can try to eventually own ...

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

Anyone up for a game toward the back end of next week? I'm ideally looking for something on Thursday or Friday (27th or 28th). Despite some serious setbacks previously, the Imperial Navy is going to try to make another push for Bastion. (p.s. what happens if an attack is unopposed?) I could do Frid...

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

Pretty disastrous game vs David's Tau today. My Chaos fleet got repeatedly torpedoed in the face by laser guided precision torpedoes. End result- crushing defeat for Chaos, 1 cruiser destroyed by a single 20 torpedo salvo, the subsequent plasma drive overload crippling 2 other Chaos cruisers....

Re: Campaign Challenges and Battles

Thanks @nightwing, Sunday at the Duke should be fine. @Lavallin, I've noticed that no one has opted to oppose your move. Would it be ok with everyone if I used one of my other fleets for an opposition? I'll publish a list for it etc, but it doesn't fit my back story to be over that side of the sect...

Re: Campaign House Rules and Map

Lord Kalius Rex was once Brother-Captain Rex, loyal servant of the Emperor. Loyal to the Emperor, but far more loyal to his beloved Primarch Horus. Rex fought in the Great Crusade as a Lunar Wolf and then, much later, against his former brothers on Terra itself as a Son of Horus. Following the death...

The yet to be named Tau commander has no interest in the machinations of the arrogant Gue' la aggressors. He will however send emissary units (heavily protected) to the penal world of toil, in order to establish whether those subdugated by the war dogs of the emperor would care to enjoy freedom, in...

Hello all. How is everyone getting on with building and prepping the fleets? I have finally completed on my new house today! So my models should be broken out of storage this week, so I can take stock of what I have and start putting a list together. Should be good to go by the end of the month :D

Re: BFG Tournament/Campaign

Finally finished painting my first complete ship: http://i.imgur.com/LSKFIm2.jpg I think I could do with a slightly brighter silver to emphasise the weapons a bit more, but overall I'm very happy with the grey/blue colour scheme. And adding bands of colour on e.g. dorsal/ventral fins also gives me ...

Re: BFG Tournament/Campaign

Just to be clear, BFG: Revised is not a specialist games version, rather it's a fan made one. Personally I'd recommend using the 2010 FAQ/Compendium which, whilst not made by the original BFG writers, is fairly official as it pulls in all the stuff from the magazines too. Agreed. About as official ...
