Re: 8th Edition

Yep, I'm looking to get back into 40k when 8th drops next week.

I would concur with Josh that most things seem to be sorted on FB now...

Kill Team

I know there are a few folk play Kill Team at BIG.

I have a bunch of marine infantry 90s mostly some 80s :o and a few up to date bits like scouts and assaults marines.

To play Kill Team would I just need the box set that have in GW or do I need up to date codexs, etc?

Re: Lunch time games

I work about 10mins walk from Duke and Excelsior and would love to do some lunchtime games. I have plenty of Whitescars and a handful of Orcs and would be really happy to play (relearn) some Kill Team/ 40k Lite. I have plenty of Blood Bowl, I could bring along BB7's stuff (Blood Bowl Lite ;) ) if yo...

Just thought I'd note, if anybody missed out on the first kickstarter or the retail print (which has sold out) you can get in on this second kickstarter for a re-print at a substantial discount from retail. Also, it's already raised over £5m! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/poots/kingdom-death...

There is definitely a Facebook site for the BA guys at BIG apparently they do a lot of organising through that. People are getting to grips with changes in 2nd ED so probably a good time to pick it up :)

Re: Deadzone 2nd Ed

Having now had a chance to read the new rules plus have a brief read of the Battle Report on Deadzone 2.0 in Tabletop Gaming looks like the game runs much smoother and quicker. If anyone wants to play through a mission or two one evening at The Duke or BIG (or at mine in Keynsham) let me know.

Re: GW Specialist Games back to their same old.

I don't think that's fair, GW totally abandoned Blood Bowl apart from the odd Cease and Desist letter for a decade then started a new division to come back and 5hit on peoples dreams. In the past they have just f'd over those games they hadn't abandoned yet but possibly would like to. This may be a ...

No solid plans yet, I've go to be in, kids go to bed at about 7ish so was looking at kicking-off stuff from 7 on Friday and Saturday. Gaming would be dependent on who was coming, so for example if it were just you and I Mike we could do Blood Bowl if there were half a dozen of us then some sort of b...

Old Duke Cup - Season 2

So Merrick and I kicked off the new season with Lizards vs Nurgle; Axolotl Dragons vs Rotting Flesh Rovers. The game started in nice weather with slightly more Dragons fans than Rovers fans piling into the stadium so the Lizards would have the fans support. The Lizards kick went deep and fortune smi...
