Re: Game Wednesday

Be interested to hear how the game went? What was the consensus on the new rules?

Re: Game Wednesday

Hi Sam,

Real name is Chris (see signature :) )

BIG is a bit far out of my way for anything other than a weekend. Duke is best for evenings. Let me know when is next good for you and you can show me the AOS ropes.

Cheers

Re: Game Wednesday

I would love to try it out. I have a very small (but fully painted) Chaos force consisting of Belakor, 12 Chaos Warriors, 16 Marauders, a Dark Master and one of those bog-golem things from the Albion campaign GW ran eons ago. I think I played a total of 4 games of 6th edition with it and haven't tak...

Re: Warhammer Rumours 2 - 2015 Onwards (SPOILERS)

The thing I find really odd is that they published the numerous End Times books with loads of rules and profiles and put a hefty price tag on each book (wasn't Archaon even more £ than the Rule book?) and now we are told "no more major publications, 4 pages of rules, its a miniatures company et...

Re: Star Wars RPG (new)

I'm in much the same boat. Hyped by all the Star Wars fever lately but I'm not experienced enough to actually GM something. Shame. Does anyone know of any other Bristol based RPG groups?

Star Wars RPG (new)

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone knows anyone running (or planning to run) a SW RPG that I could get in on. Seems the last one finished in August?

Cheers

Chris

Re: Warhammer Rumours 2 - 2015 Onwards (SPOILERS)

I would be truly amazed if Nagash, Glotkin and the other ET releases are unusable in 6 months. The design and tooling costs on Nagash alone mean he may not yet have started to turn a profit (it took 5 years for the Landraider kit to start to make money apparently). Clearly there are interesting time...

Middle Earth SOM: Talion WIP

Hello all, For those interested, here's my attempt at converting a model to represent Talion from Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (does anyone play LOTR SBG at the Vanguard?) I am by no means a sculptor (or photographer for that matter) so have had to take a more "inspired by" approach rath...

Re: Rumours

Any news on the Battle of Five Armies releases? The movie is just over a month away now and I have seen nothing at all anywhere on the interweb.

Re: Painting stations/organisers

I had the one in the picture at the top and wouldn't recommend it. Was a bit flimsy and didn't travel well sadly. That was a few years ago now though so they might have improved. I have since bought an antique Victorian writing desk that folds away and actually looks like quite a nice piece of furni...

Re: Where has all the love gone?

Sorry I didn't mean to imply that if you do enjoy warfare gaming in a modern setting you have no humanity (which, on reflection I did...so sorry). My objection is rather more based upon the glorification of warfare as Kevx3 put rather succinctly. I certainly do enjoy media which offers something by ...

Re: Where has all the love gone?

Really pleased to see so many comments about how gaming in a modern warfare type setting is abhorrent to many people. I completely agree and though I am an avid video game player, I have never played a single Modern Warfare based Call of Duty title. My online buddies can't understand this and think ...

Re: Where has all the love gone?

I have recently purchased Stormclaw and an airbrush and have been frantically trying to get my Space Wolves painted so I can start playing 40k at the club. I can't wait to get my first "anyone want to play 40K" post up on this forum. I haven't really played since 5th ed so AP profiles for ...

Re: Black Crusade (40k RPG) - Players Wanted

Hi Alex, I'm up for trying that. I have only recently joined the Vanguard and would like to get to know some people better while I slowly paint up my first 1000pts of Space Wolves. Note I have never really played an RPG (though 20+ years ago our games of Warhammer Quest used to get quite involved). ...
