Postby Ginger Prince » Thu May 22, 2014 5:12 pm

Don't shoot the messenger:

EARLY-MID JUNE
Orks
(New Codex and Models)

LATE JUNE
Ork Theme Apocalypse Supplement
(possible Invasion of Badlanding)

EARLY-MID JULY

(Armybook and such things)

LATE JULY

(DV Revised)

MID-LATE AUGUST
Blood Angels
(Vampires in Space! Codex and Models)

EARLY SEPTEMBER
Armageddon Apocalypse Supplement
(new and updated content)

Dark Eldar
(yes... Codex and Boxes)

MID-LATE NOVEMBER

New Ork super heavy:

Gorkanaut
Image

Gorkanaught/Morkanaut, it will cost 65 pounds, 85 euro, 105 USD...
It´s a new stompa for orks, with transport for 6 miniatures, with new arms.
It´s almost the size of an Imperial Knight, about 1 or 2 inches less than it.

I've always liked Orks (not facing off vs a green horde of them though) but their character and their whole aesthetic. The entire army reminds me of the old Dave Gibbons art back in WDs early days. The more they make in plastic the more I feel myself drawn to them, but…… I….. must…. resistssss!

Got far too much on my 40K plate at the moment with unfinished Necrons, Nids, Iron Warriors, Night Lords, Thousand Sons, World Eaters, Death Gaurd, Alpha Legion, Word Bearers and Black Legion. The two latter are waiting to see if the rumoured new plastic multi kit chosen/Havocs will match the look of the Dark Vengeance stuff, fingers crossed. Also fingers crossed for that Legionary USR supplement, really want to play Legion specific in 40K and not just having to relay on 30K to to do it.

Oh, and where do I get me a smiley like that?

I'm sure Alessandro and Sam will dig out their green skins once the new codex is out.

Well hopefully my next army is an ork speed freak army ... Hopefully. Always loved the orks but i sucked too much at painting to do them justice (i like regimented uniforms).

Is it just me or does the gorkamorka suit look too clean and unfinished? Specifically the area behind the head piece is completely flat and devoid of detail yet open for all to see.

EDit: give in to the plastic crack. You know you want to.

Edit 2: are those self propelled big gunz i see in the bottom of that picture? Sweet
Well, it's been fun.

Self propelled guns look pretty good. Flash Gits are awesome. Morkanauts - fekkin S***. Need to wait a few weeks till the old Mek Boyz start posting awesome conversions.

The 'anauts aren't super heavies are they? They're just 5HP walkers (a little like the Spartan Assault Tank).

@ bluffreggie: I may be the man to start playing orks for you. I have had orks camping in a box for years, the shots of what looks like a new shokk attack gun and big guns might just draw my minis out of their box, especially after GW neutered my favorite 40k army (Black Templars).

I was so looking forward to these - and then someone said it's £32 for 5 flash gits.

That is the case but there will probably be so many bits left over if you've got a handful of spare ork bodies lying around you can probably make double that number.

Looks like there are so many bits, an extra box of boyz will easily make another 10 flash gitz.

Good to see they are paying homage to the pirate freebooter from the original incarnation of the flash gitz in the 1990's.

Seeing as I have around 30 Nobz waiting construction I may be able to ge the most out of the box. It still stings spending that kind of money on 5 Orks. Looking at the sprues I don't see any extra gunz though.

The gun parts will have to be stuck onto standard shoota's to bling them up. That said, with enough bits lying around (and i imagine most ork player will have a fairly sizeable bits collection) you may not even have to invest in the kit. I still have the original WD that introduced freebooterz (including a Genestealer Kult!) that shows you how to bling up standard ork shootas into something a Flash Git would be proud to carry around.

Just like these old skool Flash Gitz.

I just like the look of the models. May have a detachment unit of some FG with Warwagon and superkanon thing that also looks nice. Damn FG, some of those things look really nice!
