Warhammer Information Nexus

Postby Syneri » Wed Mar 19, 2014 8:32 pm

In order to cut down on the number of information threads 'stickied' at the top of this form I've now collected them all into this one place, so you'll have everything at your fingertips!

Edit - and yes, I did manage to get the acronym to spell W.I.N :mrgreen:

Compositional restriction (aka 'Comp') Compendium

Regardless of the views people hold on each variety of compositional rules ("comp"), you're almost guaranteed to run into them at some point. We've therefore produced a relatively comprehensive guide to all current 'major' comp systems in place for WHFB events both in the UK and USA. I've taken the time to divide them into several rough categories, each with a short description.

This can serve as both an easy reference point for people if they hear about '_____ comp' and want to know more, or for those wishing to design their own for use at a later date.

Hard Comp - Highly restrictive, with a specific aim in mind

<Work in progress>

Middling Comp - Aims to push both upper and lower tier armies in towards the average..

Swedish Comp v 1.13.2

Soft Comp - Aims to 'take the edge off' but little else, variable levels of effectiveness.

<Work in progress>

If anyone spots another interesting style, please let your WHFB rep(s) know and the post will be updated!
