Proposed underdog rules for S2

Postby Monk » Sun Aug 10, 2014 11:32 am

Ok guys, these are the proposed underdog rules you for Season 2.

The difference in team rating is what you have to Spend on the following items. These are only available for the game being played and must be removed during the post game sequence

  • 10mc - Roll on one of the free agent tables
  • 8mc - up to 1 coach of any type
  • 8mc - Up to 2 cheerleaders
  • 6mc - Up to 2 additional coaching dice
  • 10mc - Up to 2 additional cards
  • x2mc - Up to 1 MVP/Giant at double the stated cost

The usual after affect will apply that for every 10mc difference in team value the underdog will get to roll an additional D6 for winnings regardless of the result.

Thoughts?

Is there a limit on rolling on the free agents tables? Otherwise it looks good.

Obviously just roster slots would be your limit on free agents, looks perfect Liam, exactly as I'd have suggested myself. If I play a rookie team first game they're getting so much cash!!! XD 11x D6!!!

Hell no, I'm keeping the nameless, I want to see how high I can get my team rating, besides what would I use instead? Only other team I enjoyed is Judwan & they are so terrible now it makes me want to quit dreadball all together every time I think about using them XD

There we 4 Judwan teams at the Welsh Tourney. It was really interesting to see people playing so tactically with them. Even severely nurfed, folk still did well with them. Anyone can win with a broken team, but it's much more satisfying and takes more skill to do mediocrely well with a poor one. Then again ... you could play Orx like me and just squish stuff. :D

They are terrible, I'd rather play with orx & never slam! I NEVER used the infinite scoring loop as I believed it to be cheating so actually I played them the skillful way even when they were "broken" its the fact that they were double nerfed & that they then go & release the asterians with the EXACT same pre-nerf Judwan stat line & added extra skills that would be entirely broken on any other team that has irritated me to the point of practically never playing dreadball.

I can run a "mediocre" team for the next season I don't mind, I could even run the Judwan & still do well, they play the same as they always did, they just succeed less often. I enjoy the nameless because they are efficient at slamming, I've hardly ever ran the "bashy teams" even when playing BB I always played the skill teams, it suits my style of play better & I enjoy scoring & winning more than I do crushing my opponents team, I want to keep using the nameless because the whole point of a league to me is the progression of your team & seeing them progress, so if t bothers people that I'm using a "broken" team I'll play the Judwan, I don't mind.
