Club Board Games

Postby Stu's Idle » Thu Mar 27, 2014 2:49 am

I'd like to build up a small collection of 'Club' Board Games.

This is for two reasons:

1: They are always here and available for people to play.

2: If they get damaged or bits get lost no one individual suffers. While I'd prefer this didn't happen, clearly, a 'Club' game can be replaced through the subs collected (no-one's out of pocket/left with a knackered game).

To start this off I've ordered (arriving next week) a copy of:

Battlestar Galactica

Cards Against Humanity

Werewolves of Millers Hollow

These are three great, fun/funny, multi-player games (the second 2 are 'the more the merrier'). If you have any other suggestions which meet those criteria please let me know and I'll look acquire them in the future.
Flames Of War: Soviets
Team Yankee (6mm and 15mm): Soviets
Bolt Action: Soviets
DUST: SSU aka Soviets (anyone spotted the theme yet?)
Star Wars Armada: Imperials (Space Soviets, a long, long time ago)
Epic Armageddon: Imperials (Space Soviets, in the grim, far future)
Frostgrave: Dwarves (Short Soviets)

Munchkin is a must have. I'd also suggest ZOMBIES! but then you know my preference for all things undead.
I know the voices aren't real ... but they have such FASCINATING ideas!

Relic and/or Talisman? :D
I'll be the guy holding a cider and swearing at the dice.

I also have a fine collection of wooden spoons.

+1 Talisman's another must have.

My box of Zombies is at The Duke for everyone to play with, it may be that one you're thinking of.

At about £60 Talisman will have to wait for now.

Zomies and Star Munchkin ordered.

Great. Thanks.

I've got an oldschool (2nd ed?) version of Talisman that I can gladly leave at the Duke, if that is any good to anyone?

I'd say a copy of twilight imperium and it's expansions but they aren't exactly a cheap indulgence OR an easy pick up and play game (given it can take the best part of a whole day to play depending on number of players.
