Game on Wednesday? Need to learn!

Postby Merrick » Sun Apr 27, 2014 1:30 am

Anyone around on Wednesday and willing to teach me to play this game? :D
I'll be the guy holding a cider and swearing at the dice.

I also have a fine collection of wooden spoons.

I should be able to.

Let me know what you have/don't have so I know what to bring.

I have some Khador, not sure of points value, a book with rules in, and the cards.

Where does everyone get those funky plastic holders for the cards, then? :D

Ok, no worries, I'll check if I'm working next Wednesday. I don't think I am.

I'll see what the Blood Bowlers are up to and see if there's time for an intro game after, if that's cool?

I'll be there tomorrow to give you a few games if you want Mike. We can fight it out for the wooden spoons if you like!

Well, I'll be down at 5 for Blood Bowl, so say that finishes between 6:30 - 7pm, that leaves plenty of time to get my ass whupped by different people! :D

It's the main day, but stick a request for a game up and you can probably get someone on almost any day (assuming there are tables free)

What faction do you field? I'm Searforge Mercs (Gorten and his Gun Bunnies) and still learning the ropes. I'm generally free ... Thursdsays and Fridays I think (guys, feel free to tell me if I'm not??) from about 18:00hrs onwards so could give you a game sometime. I'm at 15pts at the moment til the rest of my toys arrive.

Cool. Another Horde player. Simon runs Everblight doesn't he? And Liam (Monk) runs Trolls so you're in good company there.

Simon and Johanna come in from Weston, sometimes on a Monday and I'm sure there are others like me who can give you a game that's not on a Wednesday.

We're fairly flexible regarding what day we can play, although Simon has to travel for work so some days are out.

Also we're away for two weeks from this weekend so we won't be showing ourselves at all for a while.

Thanks for the game Merrick, I hope it was a helpful re-introduction!

We ran through all of the basics aside from Power Attacks, Scenarios and the more advanced rules e.g. units and orders/coherency.
