Pigmar "All Grown Up" Tournament - 21 March

Postby Vyper » Mon Feb 09, 2015 9:44 am

Hi all,

As I'm sure I've mentioned before, Pigmar in Bath are running their own Escalation Leage as well. To cap off their league they are also running a tournament which will be on.

Their sing up thread is here: http://www.pigmar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2011

Event Details

Schedule and Venue
The event will be on Saturday 21st of March at Pigmar. There will be three games, all played on one day. The event will cost £10, payment by PayPal to info@pigmar.co.uk (as a GIFT). Please make your payment on or before the 7th of March.

Schedule:
09:00 - 10:00: Table setup and registration
10:00 – 12:15: Game 1
12:15 – 1:15: Lunch
1:15 – 3:30: Game 2
3:30 - 5:45: Game 3
5:45 - 06:30: Wrap up and pack up!

Tournament Format
The missions are likely to be from the main Infinity rulebook, more details to follow.

Prizes
There will indeed be prizes to be had! There will be prizes for the top three ranking players and best painted, as well as an old school wooden spoon for the lowest ranking player.

Army Format
The tournament will use 300pts list. Players may use two list, but both must be from the same faction and if appropriate the same sectorial. List must be submitted by the 14th of March to darren.ivey@hotmail.co.uk....
Lists must be submitted using the official Infinity Army builder (assuming it has been updated by then!).

Spec Ops: You are free to use a spec opp models as either the corresponding line infantry or as a suitable proxy, however you may not use a Spec Op with experience points.

Mercenaries: This is a non-ITS event, so unless specified by the specific mercenary model the only restriction is that “players cannot add Mercenary Troops to any Combined Army or alien Army List.” (page 23, Infinity Rulebook).

Models
Painting: There is no painting requirement for the tournament.

Proxies: If you use proxies make sure your opponent is fully aware what the proxy represents including all relevant open information (i.e. what they are armed with). As to the number of proxies you can field, please be considerate to your opponent and use what you feel is a reasonable number.

I am just dropping a note to say I have updated a few bits of the tournament information:

- The missions will be The Armory, Annihilation and Supremacy, but to clarify the mission rules are taken from the Inifnity Rulebook and not the new ITS pack.

- Army list do not have to be submitted before the event, but a player may be asked by the TO to verify their list on the day.

There are few house rules/clarifications to be used on the day.

- Scenery structures may not be the target of any attack.

- Troopers using the logistic trait of a panoplies that gain a benefit to their armor that would bring their modified armor value above 5, treat their new armor value as 5.

- Kinematika increases the distance a model can engage, by the same distance the skill would benefits a dodge.

- Cybermask entitles the user to make use of the surprise attack and surprise shot skill.

- If a model with both the courage and religious skill is required to make a guts test, it may decide the outcome of the test i.e. in this instance courage overrides the religious rule.

Any question, then just let me know!:)

If it wasn't the same day as my xwing tournament I'd have been up for it.

Well there are still places if anyone wants to join!:)

I have been asked to clarify a rule question regarding Symbiont Armour. I know this one is hotly contested on the forum, but for the tournament the following will be used:

Models with an active 1 Wound Symbiont Armour (eg: Kotails, Nikouls, Sakiels etc) hit by Shock or Viral Ammunition will revert to their Symbiont Inactive profiles if they receive a wound from these ammunition types.
