So far two Veteran gamers have expressed and interest about getting involved again (might get more, as the post has only been up for a few hours on the forum). We're just trying to work out the best night for them currently.

I'm waiting for some responses from the more experienced players on the Tac Com forum. The 'Bristol and West Country Epic Gaming' thread has been dormant for a while so it's taking a while to get it started again.

Two 'veterans' have shown an interest so far. One is free on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the other on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays... I'm busy on Mondays. Typical!

I've suggested Wednesday 19th as an 'intro' night. Unless there are any major objections I think I'll just host it then, with the veterans or just me. Bring whatever you have and we'll improvise a few refresher/learning games.

I'd definitely be up for some learner games, and should be there the 19th. I'll pick an epic army to bring along, might even get some painting done as well...

This is the army-builder that I use: http://traitor-legion.appspot.com/

If you follow the NetEA or EpicUK links you will get the lists you can build. I think they are all up-to-date but it's often worth double checking with the official UK Army Lists, which are published/updated here: http://epic-uk.co.uk/wp/army-lists/

EpicUk are the official UK lists, which can be used at any UK event/tournament.
NetEA are the same lists as the EpicUK (I think) plus a number of 'experimental' lists. Not all of these would be allowed in events and tournaments, you'd have to check with the organisers. The Winter Warmer and Summer Sizzler (Bristol's little annual events, organised by the currently retired Ryan) allowed any NetEA list as it was quite casual.

For a little advice on list building this is quite a good guide: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/ ... 95&t=19183

It went well I think. Don't worry that you missed it, we'll do another one next month, scaling up slightly in points now that everyone knows the basics, probably to 2k or even 3k (let me know what you'd prefer).

I'd be happy to observe and instruct as needed. I'm not very familiar with Eldar so can I suggest you print out a little cheat sheet with their stats and tricksy special rules on.

If anyone doesn't have an army but wants to try Epic out I'd be happy to lend them some of my forces. I have Guard and/or Marines or (unpainted) Orks.

On a separate note I've pencilled in the 10th December for another Epic Evening. One Veteran player has already said he can make it, unless his kids are ill again (why he couldn't make the last evening) and hopefully Horatio will attend too. Let me know if that's a good date for people.
Cheers
