Assuming I'm the only WE player coming I'll be bringing an actual citadel one (or 4...).

If people turn up on the day and all of the tables are mysteriously covered in a variety of mix'n'match woods, they'll know who to blame :D

I'm torn between a scaled down version of my usual list, which would be good seems as it won't take much thinking and I haven't played since lightning strike.

Or as there is no painting award to try to compete for, leave all my monsters at home and take no magic but as many minotaurs as I possibly can.

tough choice

You can park on wapping wharf carpark for £3.50 all day, or the mud dock carpark for the same amount!

The box my army lives in is not very bus friendly! How much is Queens Square on a weekend? Im a lazy git and Wapping Road is like a whole 5 minute walk...

Might be able to do something about a lift Ben, its coming back thats the problem as ill either be shooting straight off after or finding a pub thats got the FA Cup final on.

Wapping Wharf (just behind the M-Shed), as mentioned by Dan, is only £3.50 for the day and almost always has space. It's only a couple of minute walk across Queen's Square and the bridge, so you even get some (much needed) fresh air on the way out afterwards. I wouldn't recommend Queen's square unless you're prepared to sell a kidney, as the spots are either reserved for particularly cardholders, full or just plain expensive.

I know CJ/Stu have some idea of local free parking, so it might be worth asking them directly.

You not able to just get a bus in or is the army you're taking not public transport friendly?

Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the offer Matt, if parking is only £3.50 though I will probably drive down and park there, that way I can drive myself back later and won't put you out at all.

Okay guys, to those people who have paid thank you very much and those people who are paying on the day, and/or paying for someone else I've had contact with except:

3 Mark (Kaseliegth)
4 Dan (Bluffreggie)

I've PM'd both parties but had no reply or payment as of yet so if anyone could give these guys a nudge, would be appreciated and guys, if you aren't attending please just let me know.

Furthermore, due to James dropping we still have a place up for grabs if anyone knows someone who wants to fill it as a paying participant please direct them to this thread, get them to email and pm me.

If no-one steps forward I do have a reserve player in the wings, however if one or both of the above parties drops then I will step in as the final reserve player (and yes I will play with an open list.)

Cheers,
Sam.

I'm pretty sure Dan is playing as I'm having a practice game against him tomorrow.

Also you've put "list submitted" against my name, unless I've done something when I was drunk (entirely possible) I haven't submitted one, I'll be finalizing it after tomorrows game.

Hmmm. I keep looking at my list with a slightly content feeling and then remembering that its uncomped for everybody else as well.

Have a feeling there will be plenty of filth on show come Saturday...

Nah, not really, I just read and saw James Headford has pulled out!

Filth was probably the wrong word to use, Its a friendly bunch and to be honest, I doubt anybody is taking a 12 person event sooo seriously that you are going to see many if any WAAC lists - ive not had any practice games with my army and wrote the list in all of about 5 minutes considering the models I had. I imagine there are a few in that boat for this one!

I said I was content - not confident!

All uncomped means is that people can spam things so that their army may excel in one area, but that is always at the detriment of another. For example, Dark Elves usually get comped on how much Fast Cav they can take, however I wouldnt be surprised to see an all mounted DE list, War machines are capped at 4, but here there is nothing to prevent a total gunline. The league was uncomped and nobody played with anything that was too filthy or not enjoyable to play against.

You'll be fine, you have Warriors of Chaos!

Fair enough, thats kinda oversimplfied comp a little, there are certain tried and tested combinations of magic items and such that get restricted as well - but this is why I voted for this to be 2k no comp, as the smaller points acts as a kind of comp in itself. Some of these things wont fit into 2000 points legally, or if they do its a significant % of the total VP up for grabs.

If I remember rightly, that was the tournament where the terrain on some tables were ridiculous and spoiled a couple of games. I dont think that particular problem will reoccur on Saturday.

2000 doesn't really stop the filth. WoC & DE can still bring all their toys. But that said who cares I'm bringing a totally un-optimised WE list, Ben is bringing beastmen which are difficult to filth up (particularly at 2000). So I'd expect 3-4 really hard armies, 3-4 middling and 3-4 weaker armies.

Rob, Ross, Slawek and Russ probably using tourney optimised lists would be my guess. Warren too but given his ability to kill his own slann it doesn't really matter ;-)

Suffice to say there will be at least one Palanquin in that army, but it might be supporting either a Frog or Skink :D
