I shall be playing games of the Board, but I'll happily play Dreadball first. Friday the 13th so ZOMBIES! is a must !!!

I generally get to The Duke about 18:15 - 18:30 depending on how much crap falls on me at work and has to be showered off.

Cai.
I may be a bit late tonight as I may not finish work on time tonight. I'll either be on the 17:15 train or the 18:15 train, I'll try for the earlier one.

CJ vs Cai

Score: 3 - 0 to CJ (a 1 pointer than a 2 pointer)
Kills: Cai = 3 and CJ only 1 (I had to make armour saves of 8, 9, and 10 due to Cai's infamously exploding dice!)
Cheers: CJ = 6 and Cai = 4 (I think?)
MC's: CJ = 7 and Cai = 2 (I think?)
no 3 or 4 pointers, though Cai was seriously robbed not to get one on the very last throw of the game. Damn turtles hoping about and ganging up on me in my rear arc!

I only got 3 cheers in the end, CJ. Otherwise it all looks good to me (apart from that scoreline. I should have won 1-0. Grumble grumble...).

Dude your Guards are just LETHAL. The ability to teleport out of my threat hex's with no evade test needed, and then re-appear behind me and still count as slamming. True you may not score many strikes but all your opponents are going to be busy replacing or recycling team members so it's a long haul strategy for you my friend.

Really good game, 1 more casualty and I wouldn't be able to field enough players for a full team.

Is that not allowed then? I don't think it would have mattered as most of the time they were used as support to take away all but 1 of my dice. When you're rolling 1 dice on a 5+ and your opponent rolls 5 on 3+, you're pretty screwed anyway, and that's before his exploding 6's add another 4 or 5 hits on you.

I'm honestly surprised I had anything left to recycle Cai hit them that hard. :D

Bearing in mind he only gets +1 dice if he STARTED more than 1 hex away from you as well, so starting in your threat hex, teleporting behind that same player & then hitting him is 4 dice not 5 & it is a sucker punch as he started in front of you & hit you in the rear. =) those teratons can be nasty though, you just need to score points faster than them & not allow them to focus on hitting you

:D which rulebook ... there are so many to choose from!

The trouble I was having is that the Turtles negate your threat hexes so they are incredibly mobile. They don't have to worry about getting hit in the rear as they just teleport away, usually putting you in their threat hex. There is no point slamming them as they are basically teleporting Orx Guards and it's remarkably easy when you try to go for a strike to get surrounded and killed by them. True they can't score for toffee ... but neither can Orx. If Cai had got just 1 more pip on any of his last 3 dice I'd have lost the game as well as 3 players. I am so getting me some Testudines! :D

I never actually committed any Sucker Punches. I just used the Teleport ability to hop Jacks round to take away one of his reaction dice, then Teleported one of the Guards in to lay the smack down. :D I do love the Teratons, but I really need them to score... I might try and level up a Jack and hope for A Safe Pair Of Hands...

What Cai said. He played really well and I throughly enjoyed our game. I did get a Monk on when he exploded all those 6's though, but mainly cause I didn't. Luckily for me the three that died were the only 3 without experience so it could have been worse, and I now have a guard with 360 vision. I SO want some Teradons now to squish other people with. Anyone got any going spare??

Liam V Merrick

Liam Win by 4
4 pointers - Liam 3, Merrick 1
Kills - Liam 2, Merrick 0
Cheers - Liam 12, Merrick 3

It was really close at one point and it slightly fell apart in the middle stint. Merrick took a quick 2 turn 4 point lead but then spectacularly failed dodge rolls to lose half his team to injuries.

OJ vs Jono

Score: 1-0 (OJ 1 three pointer, Jono 1 two pointer)
Kills: 2-0
Cheers: 8-1
Cash: 6-3

That should read that I killed 2 of Jono's Jacks, essentially I slammed whenever possible and the 2 guards tried to make up for their dead breathen (earning 3 and 4 experience each), I also bought an extra coaching dice before the game. I figured I'm now going to get slammed back down next game...

More importantly it's a 4+ to evade/dodge (speed test not skill test) for the Orx I believe, I suspect we made the same error in our game CJ.

On the upside you managed to get a kill as well (I'm assuming it was a Jack).
