I should do a write up:

Me: Biggs, Keyan, Nera, Bandit Squadron Z95

SoC: Jan, Kyle, Tarn

Result: Ian wins 162 - 38

As with any game with Ian, the opening several turns were a game of cat and mouse. Ian was tempting to engage through through asteroids and I was having none of it. I ran myself around the board and flew my three low PS pilots in one direction tempting Ian into thinking that I would move Keyan the same way - who actually turned in to engage. My theory was that I could keep Keyan at range three avoiding the turrets of jan and Kyle. Keyan had Kyle in his sights at range three and the next move proved to be pivotal Jan moved on behind and to the side of Kyle and an asteroid and at range three of Keyan - I felt confident that's plan had worked until Ian managed to pull what appeared to be an unlikely boost onto range two between the asteroid and Kyle. Jan was able to ion Keyan and from that moment onwards he was easy meat for kyles 4 dice blaster turret.

I swooped in with the rest of my squad to support Keyan and focused everything on Kyle. Kyles focus factory worked a treat and after a lot of hits he had only lost one shield and suffered an inconsequential crit.

Without a manoeuvrable ps9 pilot I was easy pickings and whilst Nera was able to eventually polish off Kyle, it was a comprehensive win for Ian.

Hellsyeah!

League Playoff Final.

ScaredOfCrows - Rebel
Kyle Katarn (21) + Push the Limit (3) + Blaster Turret (4) + Recon Specialist (3) + Moldy Crow (3) + Engine Upgrade (4) =(38)
Jan Ors (25) + Veteran Instincts (1) + Ion Cannon Turret (5) + Nien Nunb (1) + Engine Upgrade (4) =(36)
Tarn Mison (23) + R7 Astromech (2) =(25)

vs

Vargas - Rebel
Bandit Squardron Pilot (12) =12
Nera Dantels (26) Deadeye (1) Flechette Torpedoes (2) Munitions failsafe (1) = 30
Keyan Farlander (29) Veteran instints (1) Advanced Sensors (3) =33
Biggs Darklighter (25) =25

Scaredofcrows Wins! 100-38

Tarn 'Go ahead punk, make my day' Mison,
Jan 'killing you softly' Ors,
and Kyle 'I'm behind you shooting you in the face' Katarn, wrecked it!

League record: 7 wins 1 loss.

Deal. With. It.

Joking aside, the final was a great game. Jan boosted into Ion turret range of Keyan who had made a strong agressive move after 6 turns of positional play. Kyle had 12 focus tokens at this stage and was able to take serious fire without suffering damage. At one point he spent 6 in one turn!

As Vargas points out, B-Wings are easily IONed and the HWK tag team were able to control board position and deal heavy damage, destroying Farlander early. Tarn took care of the Z-95 and finished off an ioned Biggs. Nera really enjoyed destroying Kyle before she bit the dust at the hands of a banking Tarn.

Well played Vargas, and thanks to everyone who played in the league!
