Dust 1947 rulebook download link

Postby Demenzia » Mon Jul 04, 2016 10:48 am

Hi,

Dust 1947 is the title of the new Dust rulebook. Now there is only one game system for grid and gridless games. After a couple of reads I'm very happy with this rules and I hope you enjoy it as well.

As far as I know all the stuff is in the Battlefront warehouse and should be delivered to the backers between July-August.

Hoorah! Liam and every other backer has had to wait way too long to have their pledges fulfilled; it'll be great to finally get some closure (the poor way it was handled has put me off backing any Kickstarters, period) :(

.....not great (only 2 years late and counting); it certainly has put me off backing any Kickstarters.

The new DUST47 rule book is slow to be released (was due in May this year, but no sign of it); comments I've seen on Facebook are not favourable in terms of the review of the 'beta' updated rules released on PDF :-(

Sound like Paolo is in 'GW' money grab mode and the focus of the game is shifting towards needing to field bigger armies (sell more models...). I'll try it for myself at somepoint and make up my own mind - I really enjoy the current rules, so I may just keep playing with those if all else fails!

Liam - don't you dare forget me if the remains of your Kickstarter ever arrive :-)

I's read a couple of times o three the new rules and I like them, basically they are the same rules with some updates to sort some problems. I don't know where people has read something to think we will need bigger armies, if the cost of the units are lower maybe that people can be right, but we don't have the new cards at the moment.

Well, if you've read the rules and are cool with them, that works for me :D

I agree - the proof will be when the new cards are made available......

Ok, so I've reviewed the rules in Spanish and it makes far more sense; the good news is that for fans of the 'old rules' like me, little has changed in terms of the mechanics. Looking at some of the Card illustrations shown, the points values also appear the same (!).

Will check the FOC illustrations later (in Spanish of course!), just to see that changes what you can field in your force; second impressions are a 'thumbs up' from me :-)
