Re: Guild Ball - A new tabletop combat/football game

Postby rudders » Thu May 07, 2015 6:51 pm

Hi all - I came down once before but really am new to the club - today I got my resin Morticians from the Kickstarter and am blown away by the quality. Got Fangtooth as well and he is awesome!

I need to play this game and was wondering if anyone is up for a game or two on Thursday the 14th (a week today)??

Thanks!

Sam

Like Sam, I now have my resins, but unfortunately I can't do Thursday night, only Wednesday ( or maybe Tuesday at a push). Is anyone free for a game with a complete novice?

Also with the Benefit of flexi time I could play Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday lunchtime if that suits anyone?

I can't do Thursday's unfortunately, could be around Wednesday to run you thorough a game, I've only played the one myself so I'm sure there will be plenty of rule book checking XD

Annoyingly, I now can't do Wednesday either! Hopefully I'll be free to play next week.

Sorry to mess you around.

My free time is a bit limited over the next few weeks as I finish off my x wing league games. Afterwards I shall be looking to get a lot of game time in on this and have enough stuff to run demos as well :-)

Ian, I can probably do Tuesday lunchtime if you fancy it? Similarly I've never played a game but we could just set a time play as long as we have to learn the rules.

Sounds a plan, what time can you be at the Duke?

My lunch is 12:00 until 14:15, so I can be there at 12:10.

(I'll bring the Chaos Dwarfs for you too).

Bloody hell that was good. I've never before picked a game up so quickly and just felt comfortable with it. Admittedly we didn't do anything terribly complex basically pushed some guys around and bashed each other but there wasn't too much that needed us to go back to the rulebook to confirm beyond a few things where card abilities could do something we hadn't thought of (for example, model ends it's activation with influence left does it disappear - I think no, which means those with abilities to pinch influence can do so), not all that important most of the time but could have a reason it's useful).
