There was apparently some big news in there. BoLS has been told the following was revealed during the seminar:

GW will be returning to Organized Play!
Details of the Organized Play program are sketchy, and I’m sure the full program will be rolled out over the next few months. But here are the broad brushstrokes of what was reported from the seminar:

The Program will include Organized Play Systems for both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar.
There will be a “campaign system” for each game.
Prize support is a part of the system.
The system will engage players at the Store, FLGS, and Convention level.
and the big one….

The Age of Sigmar campaign will include some type of “points” system!

This is HUGE NEWS! Games Workshop slowly but surely pulled out of the organized play scene over a handful of years roughly 5-6 years back leaving FLGSs and the entire tournament scene to fend for themselves. Their absence has been keenly felt in an industry with all other major manufacturers pushing forward full steam ahead on the Organized Play front. Privateer Press has a fantastic system up and running with new exciting annual league rules, unique prizes and evolving styles of play. FFG is charging in like a bull with organized play systems for all of their growing systems with lavish prize support (remember Massing at Sullust). Outfits like WizKids do the same with exclusive Organized Play models released each year.

There are a lot of directions GW can go in rolling out an Organized Play system, but it looks after years wandering in the desert that they are coming home – and with a points system for Age of Sigmar!

What a waste of time. I hope they don't mess with the current good work being done in the UK tourney scene.

I like the paint scheme on the drakesworn and stardrake (up on the website already) but again the proportions on the minis seem way off again. In the case of the Stardrake in particular the front right leg in particular looks really odd in its posing (might just be the angle of the picture though) and the armour seems totally unnecessary (it's a dragon ffs) and overly chunky

The word on the AoS Facebook group this morning was that BoLS has got hold of the wrong end of the stick regarding points.

The 'points system' referred to in the GW seminar at GAMA was apparently a system of acquiring victory points for tracking wins at the organised play events, not points values for models/Warscrolls to balance armies.

The organised play thing does indeed appear to be real though.

I think it would be a benefit to have some sort of balancing system in the game, but overly complicated points might not be the best way to keep AOS as the intro level game that GW wants it to be. I doubt we'll see a large scale change for a while though as they must have printed loads of copies of the battletomes that would suddenly be worthless

I don't mean that its a problem for me on a personal level. I just think its a hinderance to the game being excepted by a lot of people. Either way, I've bought a load of AOS figures, a book and am painting my way through them

From my (dodgy) French translating skills I can see it confirmed that dwarfs, high elves, dark elves and what was the empire still exist by the looks of it. No direct mention of Woodies bar the Sylvaneth, no Brets (although free people could apply to them as well as empire), and interesting to see a joined dwarven/human faction.
Waiting on tenterhooks to see how much of my high elves survive the model cull!

Can't they get shot of the bloody awful state troop set!

Individuals, named units and the older stuff all goes then.

Only weird thing for me is Alarielle going as such a new model (when say Araloth survives) - Finecast though I suppose.

Didn't expect to see Silver Helms, RBTs go. Guess Ellyrian Reavers and Swordmasters are also gone given models no longer exist on sale?

The former Orcs & Goblins will get their "AoS-ification" at the end of April. The first release is set for 30th of April, with advance orders up on the 23. In no particular order, there will be: a monster kit, a new unit of cavalry, a new unit of infantry, plus some clampack characters. Apart from the characters (no details here) the other new kits are about Ironjaws (former Black Orcs).

Who's ready to enter the great silver tower of Tzeentch?

New AOS board game.

Sad Panda (the most reliable source of rumours around) said Tzeentch, which Hastings is now corroborating. Not surewho the antagonists are. The fear is that it is the Stormcast, though a Warhammer Quest style game could allow for bespoke minis from various different factions.

Regarding Tzeentch, Sad Panda said that this years AOS focus was Tzeentch but that a Lord of Change had not yet been started.

This Warhammer Quest-like game is coming this May. The title seems to be "Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower", and it comes with hero models for multiple races - including human, Stormcast, Aelf, Duardin and Ogor. There might even be expansions, if the base game sells well.

While the LoC was finished only recently (and is not in this box), the design team did start off this larger project with some smaller AoS Beastmen minions (technically Birdmen, I suppose) of Tzeentch. Watch out for those.

From Hastings on Warseer, CADs for models which may see the light of day:

CAD files for all of the plastic GD were finished. One of these has been released in the form of the BT, another then became the Glottkin (I was told this was originally going to be a GUO). So whilst the models for the remaining two have not yet been released or possibly even been cast, the CAD files for them are done, and have been for some time

CAD file for a Orc "Chariot" of sorts, that saw one of the new style boars, pulling what was described as a large wooden wheelbarrow behind it, this was filled with loads of goblins with bows pointing in all directions, the same file also had extra wooden bits and some snotlings, where it was to be built with the wheelbarrow in front of the boar with the extra bits, forming a new Pump Wagon (?). This file was never seen again, and I am not even aware of prototypes of it being made.
