Worked on a bunch of new stuff for my HE army:
22 New archers, a mage and a Frostheart Phoenix.

Also been turning out some more malifaux stuff:

Following on with malifaux I smashed out the old metal desolation engine.

Image

On first look I didn't like the figure but after painting it there were some nice details to it but the new plastic one still smashes it out the park aesthetically compared to this one.

Knocked off a couple more figs for the Levi crew. Now down to just a couple of waifs from being complete.

Started painting my guildball, began with the butchers. Not my favourite team but some of my favourite models.

Painfully slow progress on Guildball continues, got a couple more done.

So that leaves me Boar, Boiler & Shank for the full team, not sure which 6 I'll actually play with though.

More progress:

I've still got boiler to finish off but I got the bases worked up on everyone else and couldn't wait to take a picture of them. Really happy with how the team has turned out. These guys have all been varnished up and hopefully ready to hit the table soon once boiler gets completed. But for the league I'm going to go for my Union team as nobody else is using them and it should be good motivation to get them painted too.

Looking shiny as always Dave. I particularly like to pooch, lovely colors on the pelt.

Nice - like the Ox figure. Might have to try and pick one up as would work nicely as priest or beast wizard

Lovely yellow color, very rich. What did you use for the recesses? Shading? Washes?

A bit of a, a bit of b!

Averland sunset, sepia wash, Averland and then work up through lighter yellows. (All GW paints)

Realised I've not done updates for a while. Not had a great deal of paint time of recent with combo of work, holidays and life generally but been slowly working away at my Guildball stuff and prepped up a box of all my unpainted Malifaux to finish off.

But first up some very old epic Titans

Ok so the backlog clearance continues. Trying to smash my way through my Malifaux stuff, aim is to have no unpainted malifaux models left by the end of the year.

A couple of beckoners, I've now painted 4 of these, just really enjoyable models to paint, some people aren't a fan of the scantily clad female thing, but it's not as though these are supposed to be warriors, they're ladies of the night who're possessed by 'brilliance' so the attire is true to type.
Image

Image

Next up is an illuminated, this is again a possessed person, but a little bit more monster takes control (as you might guess by the tentacles bursting out her face!). I bought these figs already assembled and it hadn't had the best job done but didn't want to spend too much time on a recovery job so a bit of a gap on the arms does it no favours.
Image

Next are two guild guards (the police of malifaux) again I've painted these guys before but had the duplicates and wanted to just get them bashed out, possibly not my greatest paintjobs but does the trick.
Image

Finally this is a reaper bones model which I've converted up slightly to use as Fransisco for my guild crews (he's a bit good in game but I don't like the actual model which is a bit cheesecake Mexican in giant sombrero).
Image

As I say I'm going to continue working on Malifaux stuff to try and completely paint everything which is currently about another 18 models, I also have another Guild Ball team and a couple of union players to paint up too for them to be all done. Hoping it will be nice to have a couple of projects effectively complete without any unpainted models kicking around rather than always having outstanding stuff for every game!

I'm loving them all, but the Clockwork Traps stand out for me. Simple yet really effective paint job.

I may have to get a couple of these for ... well ... something.
