Thats a shame. I can do in the week after work but it would have to be the Duke instead though. Would be Thursday or Friday I would think ideally. If all goes well on the Bus I can get into town for about 5:30. Otherwise it would be 6pm.

Any good for you? :D

Hi all

I am afraid I will have to pull out of the league as I am leaving Bristol in a month's time.

Cheers

I believe so, before christmas we spoke and he apologised that he'd been so busy he'd had no time for games but hoped that he could get back involved in 2015.

Played against Matt's Bretonnia list. 2200 points but we forgot the scenario/special missions .

Good fun and pretty brutal. Ran GM with runefang, luthor, mounted bsb & mounted priest, lvl 2 beasts. Knights, inner circle, 2*3 demigryphs, 10 archers, hurricanum and steam tank.

Matt had lord, paladin & bsb in big unit of realm, unit each of grail and errants, small unit of realm with lvl 4 heavens, 2 lots of mounted yeoman and 3 peg knights.

Cautious 1st turn. Bret's managed a couple of 2nd turn charges - lord and paladins making short work of demigryph unitt, pegs go into knights with luthor but grail unit fluff charge into same unit. Comets start falling from the sky.

Steam tank, hurricanum and ic knights charge Matt's big unit. Impact hits do decent damage and his lord regrets challenge as runefang beats heroic killing blow. Other unit of demigryphs keeps being fed yeoman to stop them getting involved.

In magic phase get wysans off but drop to lvl 0 and wipe out dice was saving for lots of priest buffs. Matt loses combat but hold.

Next turn Grail knights finally charge and run down luthor and co in subsequent combat. Knights errant charge into ic knights. 1st comet kills some knights and second on its way.

Mass brawl continues with grail knights not able to hurt dawnstone equipt bsb on end of my unit, GM chomps through knights errant, paladins beat up hurricanum. I lose but crown and hold the line keep me fighting.

Another comet comes down but MR and decent armour means not too much dies (archers but who cares). Overcook the steam tank which blows up!

One more comet takes out most of demigryphs, last of errants and ic knights. Game end with combat unresolved but little left.

Finish with GM, bsb and single demigryph v 6/7 grail knights, lone paladin and Pegasus with couple of knights of the realm and the damsel.

1663 v 1352 so 12-8 win to Matt

Well summed up Dave. Brutal game, and exactly what you would expect if a bunch of knights lined up on either side and took a run up and a big swing at each other, riding through a hailstorm of comets in the process.

Thanks for the game, great fun.

Right, Apologies for being a bit slack with this, I'll try and get round 3 sorted out this week as I think most games are now more or less played out.

From the results I've seen posted here it seems that the filthers are struggling to get their games in, or have they just not been posted up?

I'm going to kick off round 3 today and we can play catchup if needed.
