Vampire the Masquerade 20th Anniversary Recruiting

Postby DM_Tudor » Thu Sep 07, 2017 12:38 pm

Hey all,

I posted this elsewhere, but figured it was worth adding to the RPG section too.

In the near future, I will be looking to run a Chronicle using the 20th Anniversary ruleset for Vampire the Masquerade. I've a few eager players, but would ideally like to find out if there are more.

The plan is to (eventually) move the Chronicle onto a live stream format, likely twitch, as I've already got the equipment and techies on hand who are keen to help. Once we have a group of reliable, RP enthusiastic players, we can get things moving.

If you're keen to see what kind of GM I am or what kind of stories I tell, you're welcome to come and observe my long-running D&D campaign, which plays every Thursday from 1900-2330 at the Duke. Should give you some insight into whether a game run by me would be your kind of thing or not.

I'm definitely interested. I've not played Vampire the Masquerade before, though I have played other RPGs (DnD 5e and Star Wars Edge of Empire).

Where/ when were you planning on doing the sessions?

The presteam sessions would be weekly around 1300-1930 on Thursdays at the Old Duke. Alternatively, I could look to do it 1200-1630, or even 1400-1830, but couldn't do later as I also run a weekly D&D game at the same location from 1900-2330 (mentioned previously).

Thursdays is my ideal day because I can guarantee that I am free UNLESS I have an audition come up that takes me away from Bristol. Other days of the week I am likely working.

Thoughts? If you're interested I can add you to the Discord group.

I'm afraid I'm working Thrusday afternoons, so won't be able to make it.

If you are considering alternatives, I get Friday afternoon's off, otherwise it's stuck to Tues-Fri evenings or Saturday.

Unfortunately, Thursdays is all I can manage with regularity. I work in kitchens and as an actor, so the only way I can ensure any degree of reliability for RPing is to have my games restricted to a single day - and D&D is on Thursdays, which allows my six players to make it.

Yeah, it's usually how it is. Best of luck with the game though.
